Deakin Dinner

On 13 May 2019 we attended the annual Deakin Dinner held at Deakin Downtown in Melbourne. The outgoing Vice Chancellor Professor Jane den Hollander spoke about the importance of putting education first, engaging the community and ensuring that education must always reflect the needs of the community. Guest speaker on the night was Deakin’s Professor Giovanni Turchini who spoke about the growth and importance of Aquaculture as a sustainable food source into the future.
